Van “Sirens” Marcus’ Car was stolen from Crown Casino Melbourne

One of the silly stories that are being sought-after this weekend was the Full Tilt Poker pro Van “Sirens” Marcus, who’s Ferrari F430 Spider, was taken away from the Crown Casino parking lot on Friday morning in Melbourne, Australia.

After the night he spent in gambling together with his friends, Marcus realized that his car was gone. As he stated at the Australian Herald Sun newspaper, “I am very angry. I am really pissed off,” he also added, “They spend millions of dollars watching players’ chips and cards in play, but as soon as it comes to the public’s property, there is a lack of security.”

Fortunately, Marcus found justice with his car as Adam Ramsey, a 32 year-old from Flemington was arrested at the near gas station around six hours after the incident happened. However, Marcus was still dismayed because his car was dumped, “It doesn’t even feel like my car.” As posted in the TwoPlusTwo forums, “I guess the guy who took the car couldn’t figure out how to put gas in it.”

Gary O’Neill, Crown Casino’s spokesman says that valid costumers are given a ticket to redeem every time they get their car. If they happen to lose the ticket, they are required with a proof or identification.

Spokesman of Marcus said that, , “I can’t believe it is so easy to extract a car from the valet parking system at what is meant to be Melbourne’s premier tourism precinct.”

Recently, Marcus end up 3rd in a $2,100 buy-in Eight-Game tournament at the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) with $56,000. He also earned success at 2007 World Series of Online Poker (WSOP) and 2008 Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT).

Annie Duke iPhone App relating Africa Fundraiser

A journey over iPhone app with Annie Duke featured In Poker Daily News. After a certain questions Duke answered, “The response has been good from the people who have seen it. Now, there is a whole Hold’em glossary, which will get filled out as people give me comments. As examples, we have terms like air, all-in, ante, back-raise, bad beat, belly buster, big blind, big slick, bubble, and button. I’m doing all of the definitions myself. As I am writing tips, I’m remembering that I have to define certain terms. I have some words I haven’t seen in other glossaries like “jump the fence,” which means to call a raise when someone else has already called a raise. I haven’t seen that defined in a lot of other places.”

She also cited freeroll event for new App users. UB.net will cast the first that has been scheduled on April 29th. Regarding with the fundraiser that is sponsored by Poker Players Alliance Duke first utter saying, “Some people are under the impression that we only do the one event at the WSOP for Ante Up for Africa, but we do more than just that. We did events at Monte Carlo and Aruba and hold others throughout the year.”

Talking about the 2010 WSOP, Annie answered PND with her plans on the event; she specified areas in the event wherein she can’t fully participate which include the $50,000 Player’s Championship due to her other appointments. $10,000 events will be her stuff during the tournament And the No Limit Hold’em events.
