Famous Poker Players Show That Poker Is A Game of Skill
A study has been issued this year showing millions of hand in a statistical data from POkerstars which established the simple truth that - Poker is game of skill.
One informal kind of proof has been shown during the 2009 WSOP which told us that top players not only triumph for an event but with several ones.
One player you may want to look at is Jeff Lisandro - the present king of Stud. He won a bracelet for each kind of Stud poker at the WSOP including 7-Card-Stud, Razz and 7-Card-Stud-Hi/Lo.
But Lisandro is not the only one who managed to achieve the feat. There Thang Luu who finished in 2nd place the 2007 $2500 Omaha 8 tournament, then winning the 2008 $1500 Omaha 8 tournament and then preserve his title this year.
In view of the fact that the population of the tournaments have been sizing up every year it would be near unattainable for someone to win a poker tournament much lesser winning multiple ones not unless they have something that give them a great advantage against all the participants.
And the story did not end with those two players.
Phil Ivey who managed to grab his 6th and 7th bracelets. John Brock Parker who triumph in the 6-Max Limit and 6-Max No Limit events. Roland De Wolfe for completing his quest for gaining the Triple Crown by winning a WSOP event after his WPT and EPT wins. Greg Mueller, former hockey player turned poker pro, who won the $10k Limit Hold ‘Em event as well as the Limit Hold ‘Em shootout. Cashing seven events during the tournament by two famous poker pro Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein.
All this happened before the Main Event- the most sought after tournament in poker-take place. A poker professional who has won in the WSOP events has built a kindly reputation of their own.
The 2009 WSOP is the year of the professional poker players no matter what the Main Event results will be. As soon as the poker war started you can lift your chin and say “On any given day, anyone can win.”
Keep in mind that this is the time when top players play side by side with amateurs. They demonstrate how the amateurs may come on top while they are hiding their bracelets loaded arm behind their back.
So if you doubt that skill is a very important factor in playing poker, then you must look at the 2009 WSOP wherein you’ll see indisputable proof that poker is a game of skill.
